This is what you might call a work in progress! After a holiday on the beautiful Isle of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland the idea for these came about. Islay is not a huge island but it is home to some of the most famous names in scotch whisky making; it is also home to a wonderful range of birds, some using Islay as a temporary home as part of their migratory patterns, others who are permanently resident. It seemed fairly natural in my mind to bring the two together. The prints are each approximately 16cm square and each is handcoloured with watercolours so no two will be exactly alike. Eventually there will be more covering the other famous distilleries on the island such as Bowmore, Bunnahabain, Bruichladdich and so on. I am working on these this year (2010) and they will be posted here as they are finished. If you are interested in reserving one of these limited edition prints please just get in touch.
